Trial fit of the scuttle

Now that the steering column is bolted in, I thought I would have a look at how the scuttle was going to fit around pedal box. To fit this you do have to trim a rather large cutout from the scuttle. I have plans to make a nice trim panel up to fit perfectly around the pedal box so I was not to concerned now close the fit was.

So with a little bit of measuring and a cutting disc in my trusty Dremel, away we went. The Dremel sliced through the fibreglass with easy. To my surprise I got it almost spot on the first go. The scuttle sits snuggly around the outside of the pedal box.

Once the entire body is fitted and lined up I will have to adjust the position of the scuttle. I will worry about that later on.
