Now that I had a nice flex plate that would bolt up to the engine and to the gearbox it was time to move on to the starter motor. Unfortunatley the 20v start motor is not a direct bolt up to the T50. One of the first jobs I tackled was modifying the engine flex plate. The standard plate that sits between the 20v and its front wheel drive gearbox has the starter mounted on the opposite side to the T50 gearbox that I have. A bit premature but I managed to track down a Toyota 4AGE 20v Silvertop engine and T50 gearbox. Was a great deal so I snapped it up. A bit of a rough picture of the engine. It does need a good clean up. And the gearbox… Apologies for the poor image...
