What a milestone! The engine and gearbox are in! Now that I have run all the lines down the transmission tunnel (thanks Dave for the tip) I could finally bolt the engine into place. Previously the gearbox and clutch was all bolted together as a trial to make sure I did manage to get the right flywheel and clutch combo. Everything was right and fitted perfectly. So today I pulled the gearbox off the motor so I can tighten and torque everything up....

Now that Sam at SQ Engineering had tidied up the axle flanges, I can bolt the whole rear brake assembly together to see how it will look and line up. Finally I got around to having the flanges on my axles machined down to suit the new Audi disc rotors. With the help of Sam from SQ Engineering I got the outer edge of the axle machined down ever so slightly to allow the disc to slide over. Another great service SQ offer is custom water routing kits for the 4age 20v. Whilst I was there I picked up a rear water bypass unit. The unit replaces the rear thermostat housing.
